Are we capable of thinking outside the box?
If we can’t have socialized medicine, then we can’t have socialized capitalism!
In my younger years I worked at a university in the U.S. (I won’t name it), in the animal research division. My asignment was to work in the chicken room in the nuclear research department. Most of those chickens have been there for their entire lives
Inside a boxed cage, day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year, the chickens walked 2 feet one way and 2 feet back.
It was no wonder that when a chicken was able to jump out of his cage and onto the floor, that the chicken didn’t move more than 3 feet one way and 3 feet another way, until he was re-captured by the technician. Hence the tern, “..can’t think outside the box”.
It will take 900 billion dollars to bail out our billionaires that we love so much. According to right wingers, we don’t have 900 billion dollars. At least not for the American people (Healthcare). Since we don’t have 900 billion dollars, we will have to borrow it! And at the interest rate China is planning to charge us, it will turn our 900 billion dollar bailout into trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars of debt.
We always think about coming to the aid of the big people, why not let us make the moves? …think outside that box we’ve been kept in by the big boys…those animal technicians who feed and water the American people for 400 years. What would you do if you feel out of your box?
I say don’t bail out the billionaires and take those trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars and distribute it to the Armenian people. Let them buy their healthcare, education, retirement plans, start businesses, farm for America, buy American, buy America stocks and bonds, buy, buy, buy, build, build, build, etc,etc, etc.
If we are going to foot the debt, then we really should foot OUR debt. NOT THEIR DEBT!
Some people CAN think outside the box…

Some believe only what their party tells them. To me, it is a double edged sword. I am not a fan of bailing these billion dollar companies out. On the other hand, I see the research that shows what will happen to the little guy if they are not helped out.
But, true, before they needed a bail-out, the government was giving the little guy the finger. Now, it is an even bigger finger.
When it was the little guy loosing his house it was his fault for getting in over his head. (according to them) Now as you stated it becomes necessary to bail out BIG business that was run by HIGHLY paid incompetent CEO’s that justified their salaries by claiming to have the Know. I say this: If the Government finds it necessary to bail out these firms it should not be as a loan. It should be as a complete take over. The tax payer becomes the owner by default to prevent crises. As such when the notes are paid (if) all profits go into the IRS to eliminate taxes or to give tax breaks to others. Companies could be sold back to the private sector for profit only. Money from the sale(s) goes back to the IRS to reduce the taxpayers load.The new owner then pays taxes for its operation. The failed CEO’s should be cut off and made to pay back the rape of these companies.
This is like Enron all over again.
We could afford an unnecessary war, support to Israel and the like but we can’t afford health care for Americans. We run around the world shouting freedom and Democracy yet when it comes to practicing it we complain about a persons religion, color or sex running for office. If we want to support our troops we could do so by supporting the constitution that they are fighting for. It sickens me to see Americans acting in the exact same manner as the people that we’re trying to influence with our ideology. It begins here with the trolls that don’t like what the other side is saying. Freedom of speech is not just if I say what they want to hear. If we want to show the world how good we are at freedom we need to implement it. We are capable of thinking outside the box when we think for ourselves and quit with the spin doctors, the sound bytes and buz words. (like transparentcy) getting sick of that one.
