The first thing you need is an executive summary.. you can find examples online.. when you write the summary it will give you the guidance you need to write the business plan.. in the summary be absolutely HONEST.. maximize the negatives and minimize the positives.. if after you have written the summary you still feel everything is worth doing..then write the business plan.. and remember that a business plan does not and should not contain a plan for advertising.. the business plan should be designed to bring all the mechanical pieces together and that includes the financial stuff.. after you put the puzzle together, then write your marketing plan.. the marketing plan should be with a solid set of rules but also be flexible enough to accommodate changes.. it will get you from point A to point B.. a good comprehensive marketing plan will then direct the advertising.. The plan is the road map.. the advertising is the car.. it carries out the plan.. good luck
