I have an event planning business and I need the opinion of the public?

I just started my event planning business and I was trying to figure out how I should conduct business. My plan was to have people go to my website (www.ragazzaentertainment.info) and give me a brief description of the event that they wanted me to put together. Then I would call them (within 24-48 or receiving their request for my services,) and get all the details.(I intend on charging my clients a flat fee so that way there are no surprises and they no exactly how much my services are going to cost them.) So I would then proceed to set up a date where we could meet. On the day that we meet we would talk about options, budget, etc and they would have to pay me at least half of the fee at this point. The day before the event I would meet them again, answer any questions that they may have and collect the rest of the fee.
I guess my question is this: Is that a good way to conduct business? Does that format seem professional? Please I need as much input as possible because I really want this business to be successful. Thanks!

I am wondering, are you a encyclopaedia? You can answer any questions that your customers have?
it sounds like a good idea, but I am wondering are you solely relying on your customers coming through your website? (If so then you will have to do some pretty heavy advertising and marketing to promote your website ) or will you be doing some ground work yourself, i.e: networking or being more hands on in trying to attract customers? that haven’t come through the website.
